I’ve been interested (okay, maybe obsessed) with weight loss for a really (really, really, really) long time. And it has been a long and arduous road mentally to wanting optimal health and wellness instead (or at least along with…). Choosing to move from a 9-5 local consulting position to a traveling one in early 2016 was scary AF. To add to that, I am in a long-distance relationship, I live in a different city than my family, and I like to travel for leisure as well.

Needless to say, I travel. A lot. Almost every week to be exact. It’s hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle when you’re constantly on planes, living out of hotels, and bouncing from city to city. Not to mention team outings, client dinners, date nights, and happy hours with friends when I’m in town (rarely).

I’ve had to completely rethink what it means to be healthy. I had to throw a wrench into my routine. I can no longer hit my amazing gym 5-6 times a week or have mainly home cooked meals. I no longer know exactly what is in my food at all times. As is the nature of my job, I had to embrace the change. I needed to adapt early and adapt well.

Though I sometimes struggle, I’ve learned to make it work. I’ve made it a priority, as is necessary with this hectic lifestyle. This blog is my journey. I’m a real person trying to navigate my way through wellness, share the tips, tricks, products, and tools I’ve learned, and hear about new methods I can use to gain optimal wellness.
